Hello! My name is Kevin Metcalf; I'm a freelance security advisor and system administrator with decades of experience as a system administrator and technology trainer. On this site you will find my security blog, along with a list of services I offer to clients. I am based in the San Francisco bay area, but I don't mind a bit of travel if the contract makes sense. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to use the contact link above and let me know how I can help you!
The most common request I receive these days is for on-site technology training. I specialize in training for the Perl programming language as well as using Linux/Unix. For addtional areas of training, please see the On-site Training section under the Services menu to the right. It is also possible to create customized training specific to your organization's needs. As a part-time faculty in the CIS department at De Anza College, I have experience creating customized training for a wide variety of skills.
